Sam's life was turned upside down after he suffered from a left arteriovenous malformation (AVM) with bleeding, which caused him to suffer from many complications especially after surgery. During his recovery, and after being admitted into HealthSouth's comprehensive brain injury program, Sam was able to make progress and gains towards returning to his normal daily life, with the help of Interactive Metronome® training.

At Interactive Metronome®, we love it when our Providers are featured in the news, and we love sharing it with all of you! We are thrilled that the Scarborough NeuroDevelopment Center was featured in the news at the Northeast Athletic Trainer's Conference in Portland, ME.
Sadly, many children go through injuries and conditions that would bring grown men to their knees. Often times, their good spirits and determination make all the difference in treatment. That was the case for Jimmy! After surgery to remove a brain tumor left Jimmy feeling weak and unsteady, but he wasn't going to let it sideline him. He set his mind to getting back to being the active, happy-go-lucky kid he wanted to be and nothing was going to stop Jimmy!
Carl was a young man with developmental delays, a previous head injury and a pretty toxic home environment. Fortunately, Carl has found a loving new home and he began receiving therapy for his conditions. With the dedicated support of his family, a great group of therapist and educators, and some IM training, Carl is now on the road to success. Today, he is doing good in school and he is finally able to enjoy a day in the park!
