Taking your life from ordinary to extraordinary

Growing up and going through school with learning disabilities is no easy feat - regardless of how determined a person is.  The key is to recognize the symptoms and address the issues.  In Andrew's case - he just wanted to be a normal teenager, a goal that he was able to achieve through Interactive Metronome® training.

IM and Other Treatment Modalities

We sometimes get asked about how IM works with other treatment modalities - and while each situation is unique, our Clinical Education Director, Amy Vega sheds some light on IM and the DORE Program.

Fumio stays cool, calm and collect with IM training

Fumio was having a tough time dealing with his Tourette syndrome and it was beginning to take its toll on his schoolwork and home life. His tics were becoming increasing noticeable and physical violent despite his best efforts to control them. His mother didn't like the idea of prescription medication, but she knew that something had to be done...so, she turned to IM training. Check out Fumio's story here.

Carl Grows Stronger with IM

Carl was a young man with developmental delays, a previous head injury and a pretty toxic home environment. Fortunately, Carl has found a loving new home and he began receiving therapy for his conditions. With the dedicated support of his family, a great group of therapist and educators, and some IM training, Carl is now on the road to success. Today, he is doing good in school and he is finally able to enjoy a day in the park!

Adopting IM into a School Setting

We often get questions on how to use IM with specific populations, how to work with the equipment and anything else that is causing our Providers headaches. Amy Vega, a fabulous SLP and our Clinical Education Director, is here to answer those questions from time to time. Today, she tackles an important question for Educators: can you provide me with evidence-based information/research to take to the school board to support the purchase?
