History of Interactive Metronome

Interactive MetronomeInteractive Metronome was developed in the early 1990s and immediately proved of great benefit to children diagnosed with learning and developmental disorders. Over the years, clinical research and therapeutic practice has shown that IM is also beneficial for the rehabilitation of adults following stroke, brain injury, a diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease, or other neurological disorder.

Backed by prominent leaders in the medical industry, IM has gained national attention as a breakthrough intervention to help patients increase attention & concentration, motor control & coordination, language processing and control of impulsivity.

Today, there are more than 20,000 certified IM providers in over 10,000 clinics, hospitals and universities throughout the United States and Canada. Interactive Metronome is approved by ASHA, AOTA, and BOC to offer continuing education credits for its curriculum.
