What made you look into IM? I was looking for research based, effective brain treatments for clients.
Tell us about your business (patients served, size of practice, services offered, how often you use IM and IM-Home in daily practice): We use IM Pro and do 18 sessions over 6 weeks, with our direct care clients then transition to IM Home as needed. Some clients who do not have good insurance coverage we will recommend IM-Home immediately and train parents/clients to use at home with clinic support as needed. We have also started doing several IM Home consults with clients from around the state (anywhere from 2-4 hours away). Clients come in for an initial OT evaluation and then purchase the IM Home for use. They return one to two times for direct consulting and receive email and phone support as needed.
Favorite thing about IM-Home? Ease of use, online tracking of progress
How do you motivate your staff with IM-Home? I give therapists a monetary bonus for each IM-Home they integrate with a client.
What marketing methods have you found successful, what ones have failed? Direct, face to face demonstrations are very effective. Parents also tend to discuss the system in the waiting areas and excitement spreads! Just handing out brochures does not work as well, parents really like to see what the system looks like and how it works.
Tip for other IM Providers: IM-Home is a great addition to the profitability and success of our clinic. Parents and clients of all ages can benefit for a lifetime. Your belief and use of the system will naturally get others excited about this.
Anything else? Use of the webinars is a great time saver and very beneficial for our staff. We can do a lunch time webinar and still have time to discuss the use of the IM Pro or IM-Home. Remember that IM-Home is a part of the IM Pro system and should be complimentary to its use.
