Course Description
Join us for a one-day workshop leading to Interactive Metronome® (IM) Provider Certification. IM is a cutting-edge assessment and treatment tool that improves synchronization in the brain resulting in greater neural efficiency and demonstrable treatment outcomes in areas where synchronized timing in the brain is critical. The human capabilities of attending/focusing, processing information, remembering/learning, reading/writing, speaking/comprehending, controlling behavior & impulses, and coordinating motor movements are integrally linked to how well the brain can process time (temporal processing) and how well regions of the brain can work in unison to perform these tasks (synchronization). Learn how practitioners around the world are incorporating IM into their therapies and educational interventions to improve outcomes for individuals with AD/HD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Sensory Processing Disorders, Auditory Processing Disorder, Dyslexia and other reading & learning disorders, Developmental Coordination Disorder, Tourette Syndrome, Traumatic Brain Injury, Stroke, Parkinsons, MS, and more. This course welcomes OT/COTAs, SLP/SLPAs, PT/PTAs, ATCs, Educators, Licensed Rehabilitation, Medical, and Mental Health Professionals, Psychiatrists, Neurologists, Psychologists, and Chiropractic Care Professionals. No prior knowledge of IM is required. This stimulating workshop includes clinical rationale for addressing neural synchronization/efficiency, candidacy for IM, significant research findings, complete instruction regarding navigation and use of IM software & hardware, and clinical application/best practices for use with children and adults in neuro/ortho habilitation/rehabilitation and educational settings. This is an engaging course where participants interact, brainstorm, and receive a great deal of hands-on experience throughout the day. Participants will be able to demonstrate basic understanding of both the technical and clinical applications of the IM. Upon completion of this certification course, participants are required to participate in Clinical Certification Coaching to ensure proficiency and competency with the Interactive Metronome before using it with students or patients. * Contact hours are offered pending successful completion of a written exam at the end of the course.

*NOTE: Upon completion of the IM Certification Course, participants must register for and complete required Clinical Certification Coaching. This post-certification course provides ample hands-on competency training to ensure that you are ready to successfully apply the IM in your practice with students & patients. Upon completion of Clinical Certification Coaching, you will be listed as an IM Provider on the IM website. For more information about Clinical Certification Coaching, please go to the education page of our website at www.interactivemetronome.com and click on IM System Coaching. Our goal is to help you and those you serve succeed!
